Bay Area Linkup is a unique social group whose fundamental basis is courtesy, consideration and accountability.
We take RSVPs to events very seriously, because we want everyone in the group to have confidence in each other, and to be able to plan events based on this confidence.
After all, don't you want people to show up if they say they'll show up, and don't you prefer people you can truly count on?

This club is designed for wine lovers on the peninsula who enjoy hiking open space and think a nice glass of wine at the end of the journey is a pretty nice way to spend a day off. I will be organizing hiking trips that take us to a winery where we can picnic, but also plan to organize tasting events at our local wineries and also to Napa that would give us a chance to wear "real people clothes" and enjoy the wine and each others company. If you are a Charles Shaw fan...this is not the group for you!
Once we get a few familar faces attending and get to know each other, I have a cellar of some pretty amazing stuff and am willing to share, if you are too. |

Dear Wine Lovers,
Vision Cellars is joining forces with Pican Restaurant in Oakland for a winemaker's dinner that will be like no other! The date is October 19th and the cost is $105 but I wanted to get the date out there. I'll post the event hopefully by the end of next week. Pican is located in downtown Oakland and they would say that they are known for their "American Soul Food."..the food is off the charts and Chef Dean just won the "Greens Cookoff" up at Vision Cellars over this last weekend. Vision Cellars makes one if the nicest Pinot Noirs and Mac & Lil McDonald have to be some of the finest people I know in the wine business. Some of us made reservations and are staying at the Hyatt for the weekend. If you are interested, priceline.com has some great rates on hotels in the area.
Please let me know when you RSVP if you will need a pick up from another hotel in the Santa Rosa area.

| Folks, I'd like to schedule a holiday mixer in December and am looking at a few dates and a few locations for our group. Right now I am thinking Melt in Palo Alto over their Happy Hour. We can probably take over the first floor without too much trouble. I am looking at Thursday, December 17 and Tuesday, December 22. Please let me know if you have a preference and also if this is something that interests you.
